SustainaBlue Project aims to support 4 Malaysian and Indonesian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in enhancing their relevance to the labour market and society for a sustainable blue economy and green transition.
The project’s main activities include establishing Sustainable Blue Economy Centres and networks of collaboration with blue industries and other stakeholders, analysing skills needs in sectors of the blue economy, developing and operating a regional Blue & Green Acceleration Platform, and capacity building of HEIs staff. Additionally, the project focuses on developing and piloting new courses on blue skills that are most in demand to improve talent development for both students and the current labour force. It also emphasises knowledge transfer and raising awareness among local communities and HEIs students about the sustainable blue economy and blue careers.
The project aims to benefit HEIs staff and students, blue industries, and local communities both directly and indirectly.
The SustainaBlue project is proudly supported by a consortium of 11 partners and is funded by the European Union and the EUROPEAN EDUCATION AND CULTURE EXECUTIVE AGENCY (EACEA) under the Erasmus LS Capacity Building in Higher Education program.
SustainaBlue Project will run from December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2026.
